August 22 will be the highlight of the summer as SLAM!
Wrestling Entertainment comes to Ääniwalli in the Vallila suburb of
Helsinki with Hell City SLAM! V.
Arriving all the way from the USA will be the tag team of The
Revelation – Bill Bain and Viktor Atlas – straight from the world’s
oldest pro wrestling organization, the National Wrestling Alliance
(NWA). Currently run by Smashing Pumpkins singer/songwriter Billy
Corgan, the NWA dates back all the way to 1948, with satellite
territories all over the world as far away as Hawaii, Japan and New
Zealand.
SLAM! Wrestling is honored to host Bill Bain and Viktor Atlas as part
of Hell City SLAM! V on August 22 and in addition, there will be a host
of talent from all over Europe wrestling at this mega summer event, as
they will face the duo of SLAM! Wrestling Champion “The Great Estonian
Lion” Big Mikk Vainula and the pioneer of Finnish pro wrestling, Nordic
ring legend “The Rebel” StarBuck. Should the team of Bain and Atlas win
this tag team match, a coin flip will determine which of them will face
Mikk Vainula for the SLAM! Championship in the final match of the
evening, as they attempt to cash in on Vainula’s open challenge
invitation to compete for the title.
In women’s action, Polish national powerlifting champion Diana Strong
returns to Finland in the hopes of regaining the SLAM! Women’s
Championship title against “Posh Princess” Kiara of England in the
first-ever Dog Collar Match between two females on Northern European
soil. The very personal nature of this rivalry has brought the heavy
artillery to the fore as the women will be joined from the neck by
collars and a several meter steel chain. In this match, there must be a
winner and there is no escape with the gold on the line!
Hell City SLAM! V will see the return of the very popular Mikko
Maestro back to Finland after years of living in the USA. Other names
scheduled for in-ring action include: “Back Breaker” Dylan Broda, The
Bodyguard, Will Carnage, Toni “Loisto” Laine, Hakkis Hakkarainen and
popular fan favorite El Miguel.
