Finland Afro Diaspora Awards & Face of African Queen
Finland Afro Diaspora Awards (FADA) and Face of African Queen are two events happening same night. FADA was established to acknowledge, celebrate and reward exceptional performance and outstanding achievements of black people in Finland. The minority hardworking Africans in Finland have not had so much recognition like the rest of the other communities in the Nordic nation. This is the reason why we have decided to come up with an annual event that will be recognizing all Africans in Finland vis-à-vis what they do and how they are Influencing others positively. This is the first edition and we are coming up with 10 categories. The Face of African Queen is a beauty contest aimed at showcasing the enviable African beauty in Finland. It is opened to all young ladies of African Origin (at least one parent), legally resident in Finland, single and aged between the ages of 18 and 30 by May 1st, 2020 and not pregnant at the time of Application. The winner of the beauty contest will be gifted with an all-expense-paid trip to Malta including hotel accommodations for 7 days and loads of beauty care products and also grace the front cover of Diaspora Glitz Magazine. The event is powered by Diaspora Reporters ry, Diaspora Glitz Magazine in collaboration with Ms Kelly Kalonji, winner of Miss Helsinki 2013.
