Kajo Night: BENN, ILON, ADEOLA Tuore Helsinkiläinen levy-yhtiö Kajo Records järjestää keikkaillan Semifinaalissa!Illan aikana kuullaan musiikkia kahdelta Kajon artistilta BENNiltä, sekä Adeolalta. Näiden lisäksi illassa esiintyy upea ja karismaattinen Ilon! The music of the Finnish/Swedish Alt Pop/Rock artist BENN serves as a raw, unfiltered expression of his innermost self, resonating with those who crave authenticity and depth in music. Drawing inspiration from brit rock icons like Arctic Monkeys, Bowie, Elton, Hozier and more, BENN infuses his debut album “How Loving Makes You Feel” with a nostalgic yet contemporary edge, uniquely flavored by Brit rock nostalgia vibes combined with Swedish pop melody aesthetics. What truly distinguishes him, however, is his unapologetic emotional perspective and his uniquely polarizing voice – a sonic signature that leaves listeners either spellbound or stirred. ILON is a Fenno-Swedish singer-songwriter whose artistry is rooted in raw storytelling and deep introspection, often combining heartfelt melodies with – in their own words – a hint of swag! They started uploading singing videos to YouTube at the age of 11. Being shy at the time, they were drawn to the idea of being heard without having to be seen. In 2019, a heartfelt original song written about their father caught people’s attention and led to a major label record deal. Currently working independently, ILON chooses integrity over industry pressure. They value meaningful collaboration and believe that the most impactful music comes from being obsessed with the process and having a long-term vision rather than feeding off of short-lived moments of hype. In 2021, ILON broke through with their third single ’tobacco’, the second most-played song on Finnish national radio that year. In 2024, they experimentally released two songs in Finnish, gaining wider domestic recognition. Even with the local momentum, ILON remains committed to their original vision and purpose: writing music for a global audience – and for themselves. -The Finnish-Nigerian afro indie artist Adeola has emerged in the music world with a unique style that blends afro influences with Nordic melancholy. She is interested in how music can combine both organic and electronic elements. Hailing from Helsinki, Adeola’s debut EP Chasing was released on November 1st 2024. In her lyrics, it is important to Adeola to be open and express emotions honestly, without censorship. As a result, the EP has naturally developed its own theme, focusing on finding one’s own freedom.
