creative festivals right in the heart of Helsinki.
Dubbed the festival of cultural relevance and creative
growth, ODDfest is a fresh take on an industry event that is designed to
inspire, teach, showcase, accelerate, and unite across disciplines,
communities, and country lines.
Moving people and moving minds, ODDfest is more than just a

The Non-Conference Conference

programming and showcases in new, playful formats to make way for
out-of-the-box thinking, vibrant interaction, bold innovation, and—let’s
be honest here—fun.

An ODDe to Creativity
While
ODDfest carries the weight of a professional platform, it’s above all a
celebration of the doers and thinkers of the creative economy. From
grassroots creators to institutional leaders and policymakers, ODDfest
pays tribute to the full spectrum of the creative industries.
At its very core, the festival champions Finnish and Nordic
talent most of all, putting them on the map and spotlighting the trends
and voices defining what’s next.
Bravery Leading the Way
In
2025, we embraced chaos and acceleration and took the risk of stepping
into the unknown to bring the very first ODDfest to life.
Now, we call on us all to be brave together—brave to speak
out, brave to take action, brave to try, fail, and improvise when
needed.
Next year’s theme, bravery, reflects the uncertainty of our
fast-paced world and the courage it takes to adapt, create, experiment,
and lead change.
ODDfest 2026 Is Coming, Bigger & Bolder
Yes, it’s official—ODDfest is returning next June, and it’s raising the stakes in line with its new theme of bravery.
This year proved that there’s real hunger for a boundary-pushing creative industry event and daring cultural programming, and we are more than happy to answer that call.
With a larger scale and wider reach, ODDfest 2026 promises to be a sight to behold.
The ODD Trifecta
We promised bigger and bolder, and we’re keeping our word. Next year, ODDfestis expanding into a three-part experience:
Creative week—a city-wide creative week will activate public spaces across Helsinki with free cultural programming accessible to all—art, concerts, skate parks, and community dinners, the sky is the limit. All this led by local collectives and showcased by ODDfest.
Conference—a new professional format will cater specifically to established creatives, institutions, policymakers, and business leaders through conference-style programming during Thursday and Friday of the creative week, smoothly blending into the showcase on its last day.
Showcase—the two-day culmination at Lasipalatsikortteli will spotlight boundary-pushing performances, installations, presentations, and demos, anchoring the creative week with curated cultural programming.
Lasipalatsi Square will remain open to all throughout the week, offering showcases for the public. The iconic Lasipalatsikortteli indoor stages and professional programming will be reserved for ticket holders.
